If you're a fan of Asian food, you have virtually endless options in St. Louis, Missouri. There are numerous restaurants across the city offering a wide array of Asian cuisines, including Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Indian. Try these three awesome Asian restaurants when you're in St. Louis.
  1. iNDO

iNDO has established itself as one of the most sought-after Asian restaurants in St. Louis with its unique Japanese-Thai fusion cuisine. Its 40-seat dining area features simple yet exotic decor and a sushi bar where you can watch owner and chef Nick Bagnar in action. One of the highly recommended items on the menu is the signature Isaan Hamachi, which comprises raw Hamachi, Thai kosho, coconut naam pla, candied garlic, and chili oil. Other popular dishes include the short rib curry with roti and the super-tender fried lamb ribs with fish sauce caramel. If you're feeling adventurous, sit at the bar and let the chef surprise you with his omakase courses. Located on Tower Grove Avenue in the Botanical Heights neighborhood, iNDO is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday. It also offers curbside pickup service.
  1. Tai Ke

Instead of serving American-Chinese fusion food like many other Chinese restaurants in St. Louis, Tai Ke pushed the boundaries by offering authentic Taiwanese dishes, including some delicious street snacks. On the restaurant's menu, you'll find items that aren't available anywhere else in town, such as wood ear salad, stir-fried minced crab meat with bean curd, and pan egg with pickled radish. As for snacks, you must try the gua bao pork buns and the sticky-rice buns with Taiwanese sausage. Tai Ke is located on Olive Boulevard. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant has temporarily closed its dining room. However, it accepts takeout orders from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Wednesday to Monday.
  1. Fork & Stix

In the past, the idea of the perfect Thai meal in St. Louis was pad thai with chicken satay on the side. Things changed with the opening of a small restaurant called Fork & Stix. Specializing in northern Thai cuisine, this restaurant introduced diners to unheard-of dishes such as hung lay curry with braised pork and sai oua, a Thai herb-packed pork sausage served with sticky rice. However, the dish that took St. Louis by storm is Chiang Mai's signature dish, khao soi. This creamy coconut-based curry broth with deep-fried egg noodles is simply delectable. Situated on Rosedale Avenue, Fork & Stix is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Besides these three restaurants, there are many others that provide a wonderful Asian dining experience, such as Kounter Kulture, Szechuan Cuisine, Slides of Seoul, and Pho Long Restaurant.
